CHARACTERISTICS OF ATMOSPHERIC BOUNDARY LAYERS UNDER STRONG WIND IN TAIWAN

本文摘要This project conducted field measurement of mean wind speed profiles of urban, suburban and open country terrains by means of Lidar. Mean and standard deviation for power law index, boundary layer thickness and surface roughness length for three terrain categories were evaluated from the field data. Based on the measured wind profiles, scaled replica topographic models were constructed to simulate the atmospheric boundary layers in wind tunnel. In such an arrangement, the detail characteristics of atmospheric boundary layer were then obtained and compared with existing building wind codes.
